I'm no Kev fan but he had a good game today, kept it simple, broke things up, probably played more incisive through-balls than Downing on the day.

He was still shit, just less shit than unusual but still shit.
Today though I felt a bit sorry for him, he was out of breadth a lot and I was worried he was going to get into trouble at one stage.

Just in defence of Mr Nolan today if I may?
It was a straight choice between him and Morgan in the final midfield position?
Morgan is more of a high impact sub therefore Sam made the call to play Nolan from the start which is ok with me providing he played Downing at the tip of the diamond behind Sakho and Valencia, which he did.
The telling decision will be when another one of the centre backs is fit and Kouyate is to be moved back into the midfield, of which I would bench Nolan and bring him on later in the game.
Unlucky West Ham today, with these players and formation we have beaten Man City, Liverpool and nearly Man Utd at home smashing them all off the park in the process!
